Xiaomi’s Next Gen Black Shark Gaming Phone is coming soon

Xiaomi entered the gaming device market in April last year with their Black Shark device launched by Xiaomi’s sub-brand Black Shark. Now Xiaomi is really looking forward to launching their next-generation gaming device Black Shark Skywalker. The device is expected to launch in April. Since its predecessor, Black Shark was launched in April 2018.

To recap, Xiaomi’s first gaming phone the Black Shark comes with Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor along with Adreno 630 GPU. The phone has 8 GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It also has an advanced liquid cooling system to dissipate heat generated while playing games. It features a 6-inch Full HD+ display and a 2.5D curved screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. The phone has a battery capacity of 4000 mAh.

And, in October last year, Xiaomi launched its second gaming smartphone, Black Shark Halo. It features a big 6-inch HDR ready AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 10 GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It has an Adreno 630 GPU. Moreover, the phone also has AI features which enhances the users experience while playing games or using the device and a 4000 mAh battery to power the device. Surprisingly, it is the first device that has gone on sale with 10 GB of RAM.

Now, Xiaomi’s next-gen gaming phone, Black Shark Skywalker is expected to have a good amount of improvements over its predecessors. The device is expected to have a Snapdragon 855 processor coupled with 8GB of RAM and runs Android 9 Pie. The product director at Xiaomi, Wang Teng Thomas, recently posted on Weibo that the new Black Shark device is ‘very cool, too fast and full of personality’.

However, the final specifications of the device have not yet been confirmed. So, we have to wait until the company confirms and launches the device.
