Xiaomi finally launches the much-awaited Redmi Note 8 series on an event recently held in Beijing. The Redmi Note 8 phone upgrades to their predecessor Redmi Note 7 which was a massive success for Xiaomi. As always the Redmi Note 8 series includes two smartphones namely, the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro which is improved version of the former.

Redmi Note series has been successful for Xiaomi since their first release. And with every new version, Xiaomi upgrades their overall design and features and offerings of the phone which makes them great phones.

Similarly, Redmi Note 8 also comes with such upgrades over their predecessor, The Redmi Note 8 comes with slightly nice design and powerful CPU, Quad camera setup, and some other little improvements.

Redmi Note 8/Pro: Specifications and Features

The Redmi Note 8 features a 6.39-inch full-HD+ display with 1080×2340 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Soc coupled with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. In terms of Camera, the Redmi Note 8 features a Quad camera setup which includes a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP wide-angle shooter, and two 2MP cameras. On the front, it has a 13MP camera for selfies.

Moreover, the Redmi Note 8 also comes with a waterdrop notch and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, IR blaster, GPS, etc. The phone has a massive 4000mAh battery with fast charging support.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 8 Pro features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with 1080 and 2340 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by an Helio G90T SoC(12nm) (MediaTek’s new SoC for gaming) which is paired with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of ROM. In terms of camera, Note 8 Pro also has Quad cameras with a different setup. The setup includes a :

However, this the company’s first-ever 64MP camera phone. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie camera for great selfies. The Redmi Note 8 Pro features a massive 4500mAh battery with fast charging support, NFC, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, IR blaster, GPS, etc.

Note that the phone comes with a waterdrop notch and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the screen. To add to this, Xiaomi has also included a liquid cooling system in the smartphone to improve the gaming experience for its users. Other gaming features include the Game Turbo 2.0 mode.

Redmi Note 8/Pro: Pricing and  Availability

The price for Redmi Note 8 has been set to CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,000) for the base variant (4GB + 64GB), CNY 1,199 (roughly Rs. 12,000) for the 6GB + 64GB variants and CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,000) for the 6GB + 128GB variants.

On the other side, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be sold at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,000) for the 6GB + 64GB variants, CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,000) for the 6GB + 128GB variants and CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,000) for the 8GB + 128GB variants. And will be available in four different colors – Black, Red, Blue, White.
