Redmi 9 an upcoming budget segment smartphone from Xiaomi. But the all-new Redmi 9 was listed on an online retailer of the Philippines named Lazada ahead of launch. The listing exposes everything about the smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi 9 will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, a quad-camera on the rear, fingerprint sensor, 5,020mA battery, as per Lazada.
Xiaomi Redmi 9: Full Specifications
As per Lazada, the Xiaomi Redmi will feature a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The Redmi 9 is powered by MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor, paired with up to 3/4 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of internal storage. The storage would be expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.
As mentioned earlier, On the back, the Redmi 9 will come with a quad-camera setup, with a 13MP main camera with f/2.2 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture and 118-degree field of view, a 5MP macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, the device has an 8MP selfie camera.
In terms of connectivity, the Redmi 9 supports dual-sim standby, WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, AI Face Unlock, and IR Blaster. Additionally, the device packs a 5,020 mAh battery and supports fast charging at 18W via the USB Type-C port.
Xiaomi Redmi 9: Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 comes with three colors to choose from and as two different variants namely, 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB.
As per the listing on Lazada, the pricing for the 3GB+32GB variant will be PHP 6,990 (RS 10,600) and the 4GB+64GB variant will cost PHP 7,490 (11,360)
But interestingly, Xiaomi’s Philippines has not made any official announcements about the Redmi 9 device until now. However, we can expect that the official announcement isn’t too far away.
Now the phone has been listed on another e-retailer (giztop) and is available to buy the 4GB+64GB variant for around $149.
