Xiaomi launched its first laptop i.e. the Mi Notebook 14 series in India on June 11, 2020. The company launched three variants of the Mi Notebook 14 and two models of the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition.
Both the variants are made of A5052 metal, which is a mixture of aluminium and magnesium and is coated with a layer of anodised sandblasting to help with corrosion issues. The Mi Notebook series will be made available only in the Mercury Gray colour.
Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition
Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition is a 1.35 kg ultra-light and super-thin 3mm bezels laptop that comes with a 14″ full-HD Anti-glare Horizon display. The screen comes with a 178-degree wide-viewing angle which gives you true-to-life viewing experience. It’s available in Mercury Gray colour and all-Metallic body.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes in two variants:
- The 1904-AR model comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SATA SSD, + NVIDIA GeForce MX350, Mi Webcam HD(Bundled), and with a processor of Intel Core i5 10th generation priced at Rs 54,999.
- The 1904-AF model comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB PCI Express Gen 3 NVMe SSD, + NVIDIA GeForce MX350, Mi Webcam HD(Bundled), and with a processor of Intel Core i7 10th generation is priced at Rs 59,999.
Coming to connectivity options, it comes with two USB 3.1 ports, one USB 2.0 port along with HDMI 1.4b support. The 3.5 mm jack doubles as a headphone and a mic in. It does not come with an in-built camera, which is why the company is bundling the Mi Webcam HD as an external camera with it, totally free of cost.
The Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition comes with a full-sized keyboard without the num-pad. The keyboard has a. It is a scissor style keyboard with a 1.3mm key travel . It does not come with a backlit keyboard. It has a trackpad that is 11cm wide and 5.7cm tall.
Mi Notebook 14 comes with a shortcut that lets users switch between normal mode and performance mode.
The battery is of 46Wh that can last for 10 hours on a single charge. In the box, there’s a 65W charger which will get you from 0% to 50% battery in just 35 minutes.
Xiaomi has also introduced some new tool called Mi Smart Share which has one of the fastest file transfers And Mi Blaze Unlock i.e. A unique feature that helps you unlock your Mi NoteBook with the help of a Mi Band.
As for the operating system, it runs on Windows 10 and comes with a one-month free trial of Office 365.
