Xiaomi on Tuesday refreshed their Apple MacBook Air rival, the Mi Notebook Air. The upgraded Mi Notebook Air comes with many improvements over the previous generation model like 8th-Gen Intel CPUs (Core i5 or Core m3), 4 GB RAM and many more. This refresh of 12.5 inch model comes three months after Xiaomi had launched the 12.5 inch model with 7th-Gen Intel CPUs, on the other hand the 13.3 inch model of Mi Notebook Air already has the 8th-Gen Intel CPUs. Mi Notebook Air: Specifications
The 2019 Mi Notebook Air sports a 12.5 inch Full HD (1920×1080) display. It is powered by 8th-Gen Intel CPUs (Core i5 or Core m3) with 4 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, Mi Notebook Air will offer upto 256 GB SSD storage.
In design, the Mi Notebook Air packs everything in an all metal chassis with no-logo design. As the name suggests, the Mi Notebook Air weighs just 1.07 Kg.
Also Xiaomi has packed three Harman speakers with DTS Surround Sound support. It also has full sized backlit keyboard. Mi Notebook Air also has support for fast charging. Xiaomi claims that the laptop can be charged to 50 percent in 50 minutes.
Talking about ports, the Mi Notebook Air has one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port, one HDMI port and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The laptop will be running Windows 10 Home edition out of the box.
Mi Notebook Air: Variants and Price
Currently these models will be only available in China and will go on sale from 28th March. There is no news for India launch of this laptop. It will be available in two colour options – Gold and Silver and three variants listed below (with price).
- Mi Notebook Air with Intel Core m3 CPU and 128GB SSD will cost CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs. 38,400)
- Mi Notebook Air with Intel Core m3 CPU and 256GB SSD will cost CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 42,700)
- Mi Notebook Air with Intel Core i5 CPU and 256GB SSD will cost CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 45,900)
